Tom Brady's Karma

Monty:

I tuned in to the Patriots-Chargers game just before LT's touchdown run made it 21-13. The game, from that point on, reminded me of Brady's first super bowl. With Bledsoe healthy on the sidelines, Brady hit 20-yard passes to seemingly wide open receivers to set-up Vinitieri's winning field goal.

Remember the legal flap about Belichick going to the Pats? That same year, Brady was taken in the sixth round behind six other quarterbacks. These two decisions were the reason for three super bowls and a fourth this year. Dumb luck? Karma? More analysis, less facts?

If the Patriots are the model - and they should be - we need to trade Chad Johnson.

That is an interesting conclusion to reach based on the premises. Regardless, I wholeheartedly disagree. First of all, trade him for what? Secondly, I bet the Patriots would take Chad. Why? Because despite all his talk he delivers. He is the only reciever in NFL history to lead the league in recieving yards four seasons in a row. Bill even likes him. Not sure why you would want to get rid of that talent. pretty much anything we get in return would be of less value.

You are kidding yourself if you think Jerry Rice didn't sulk after some drops. Sure, CJ is immature and moody. And he does sulk when he drops a pass. But that's because hes pretty competitive. He doesn't take plays off. You didn't hear a single peep from him when TJ and Henry were getting more TDs than him. And everyone knows they do well because of the coverage on Chad. Chad works as hard as anyone in the league. Sounds like you want to get rid of him because you simply don't like him. You probably would have traded Jom Brown and Ty Cobb as well.

I don't think you improve any organization by losing talent. The Bengals need better players to have more success.

It would also help if Carson didnt audible into a run 70% of the time.

Oh yeah, a new long snapper might help!
