What is the best non-weekend, non-holiday sports day of the year? I've got to go with today -- opening day of the baseball season and the NCAA basketball championship game.
Although, I believe a case could also be made for the first Thursday of March Madness.

Start of the Iditarod, obviously.
Actually, and maybe better, almost any day of Winter Olympics.
You'd probably have to include the Boston Marathon, but that it is on a holiday in Massachusetts.
